Micheal Scott, Regional Manager

Michael Gary Scott was named Regional Manager of Caring At Home Scranton after a phenomenally successful run as a Care Manager in the Scranton branch under the tutelage of Edward Truck. In his role as Regional Manager, Scott is responsible for executing care strategies and marketing as well as logistics and caregiver coordination for all of Northeastern Pennsylvania and parts of the Mid-Atlantic region. Known for his personal touch and affability, Michael Scott’s leadership has inspired other employees that since took the leap into management, including Ryan Howard, Darryl Philbin, Jim Halpert, Andy Bernard, and Dwight Schrute. Scott was instrumental in the launch of Caring At Home Infinity and contributed to some of Caring At Home’s most successful corporate initiatives, including The Homies, Diversity Day, the highly successful Golden Ticket program, and Michael Scott’s Caring At Home Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Fun Run Pro Am Race for the Cure – now known as the Annual Caring At Home Fun Run.

A lifelong resident of Scranton, Michael Scott enjoys improvised comedy, the internet, and screenwriting in his spare time. His screenplay “Threat Level Midnight” was submitted to several prestigious film festivals. He’s currently married to former Caring At Home employee Holly Flax. Scott is also the founder of the now-defunct Michael Scott Home Care Company and appeared on the children’s television show Fundle Bundle.

Dwight Schrute, Assistant to the Regional Manager

Dwight Schrute began his career at Caring At Home as a caregiver, but quickly rose through the ranks to assume the title of Assistant to the Regional Manager. His dedication and loyalty to the field of home care are apparent in multiple records he set at the company, specifically in relation to the now infamous launch of Caring At Home Infinity. Thanks to his influence, the Scranton branch was able to secure new advancements in wellness (specifically, CPR mask demonstrations), fire safety (he created the now-named “Schrute fire drill”), and recycling (namely: Recyclops). His adherence to facts and the truth in the form of straight-forward questions and rejection of anything false have become a badge of honor for Schrute.

Born and raised in Honesdale, PA to a Pennsylvania Dutch family of beet farmers, Dwight is currently married to fellow Caring At Home employee Angela Martin. In addition to his tenure at Caring At Home, Dwight enjoys a prolific career as a beet farmer at Schrute Farms, which is home to a renowned bed and breakfast. He’s also the owner of the Scranton Business Park, which houses Caring At Home Scranton. As a dedicated resident of the greater Scranton area, Dwight served as a volunteer sheriff in Lackawanna County.

Pam Halpert, Office Administrator

Pam Halpert (formerly known as Pam Beesly) was most recently the Office Administrator at the Scranton Branch of Caring At Home where she was responsible for procurement and distribution of all office supplies as well as internal purchasing. Her career at Caring At Home Scranton began at the reception desk where she innovated initiatives such as the “candy dish” and Resolutions Board. She also enjoyed a brief stint in the sales department after showing her sales prowess at the Michael Scott Home Care Company (now merged with Caring At Home). In her time at Caring At Home, she made a significant contribution to morale and community by serving as a member of the Party Planning Committee and a founder of The Finer Things Club.

Beesly-Halpert is married to fellow Caring At Home employee Jim Halpert and mother of Cecila and Phillip Halpert. The two have lived in Scranton, PA for many years.

Outside of work, Beesly-Halpert spends time sharing her considerable artistic talents. Her drawing of the Caring At Home Scranton branch still proudly hangs inside the Scranton branch office to this day. She has also explored graphic design, and most recently, was hired by Caring At Home to paint a beautiful mural commemorating the hard work and dedication shown by the Caring At Home Scranton employees, as well as their lasting friendship and business relationships.
